Pizza Hut and the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress established National Young Reader's Week to remind Americans of the joys and importance of reading for young people. Schools, libraries, families and communities nationwide use this week to celebrate reading in a variety of ways. The event has been celebrated the second full week of November since 1989.
